The Lobster Club
When I received the message if I would be willing to create something for The Dolder Grand in Zürich I was quite impressed to be honest. The Dolder with its unbelievable gastronomy and that huge art collection is considered one of the best hotels in Europe.
HEIKO NIEDER – Chef Fine Dining (2 Stars at Guide Michelin) and since 14 years at the Dolder – always surprises with new ideas and concepts. This time: A Pop Up restaurant specialized on seafood – fresh and reinterpreted.
The location should be garnished with three large size Boogie artworks. The only briefing was: seafood – but please authentic and with a pinch of Boogie.
The time slot was pretty tight and so I started immediatly with some different visualizations. Lobster, Octopus and (Chefs special wish) Oysters & Pearls. Because of logistics but also because of the style I decided not to use the classic rectangle format as my work surface. I wanted something more free and unique. At all I worked around 3 weeks on these 3,5 meter big boys which were framed in the end with a shadow gap in matte black. The guys of Aroma did a really great job with hanging the artworks in a super professional way and so I can say that this project is definitely the most interesting for me to date and I’m really proud of it.

The Lobster Club will be open the whole Summer 2022 and its worth a visit: incredible food creations in a super stylish ambience.
