It is done – we hunted down that mammoth of a wall. After 5 days of painting and a great portion of workers tan we finished our so far biggest mural with a size of approximately 370 squaremeters in Pratteln / Switzerland. We were free in what we we`re going to paint, but had to keep in mind that we’d just have limited time to murder this monster wall and a reliable collaboration was key. Our friend Sigi from Zurich hooked us up with the paint industry to mix the Boogie Viola as regular paint for the background – quite a challenge, because the underground is metal. But we made it and in the end we had an Airless system and 50 liters of finest Viola to buff the whole wall. Team Homboog was ready to rock and all tasks were clearly assigned. Alexej was our helping hand for everything during the whole time and Frau K. kept our backs free and was the best on and off site catering service. Thanks guys!
So we had to paint two definitely huge characters on that wall – for a better understanding: one of glasses of the left homie is about 2 meters wide – and fill the background with a monochrome pattern of bombings and throwups with just 2 more different shades of Viola. We are really happy with the result, the weather was a bomb and except me falling of the ladder like a stuntman and from there into a hedge, I ended up with some scratches, bruises and a hurt shoulder.
If you wanna have a look at our biggie of a wall in person and a couple of other sweet productions from guys like TARKE, DANIEL ZELTNER & FAFA, MAKE, RAPHAEL ROTH or SHEZ live, you can find them right here: Wasenstrasse 13 in Pratteln / Switzerland.
A special shoutout and thank you goes out to our man behind the camera JOHANNES FRIEDRICH. You’ve shown so much enthusiasm and love for our lil’ project and made it all the way from Leipzig to Switzerland – big up, homeboy!
